The Regular Season in Basketligan is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

Top ranked Sundsvall Dragons (25-5) recorded its fifth loss on the court of third ranked Sodertalje Kings on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Sodertalje Kings 100-94. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sundsvall Dragons. Sodertalje Kings made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) who scored 28 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The other American import center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who recorded 36 points (!!!) (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Sodertalje Kings (21-8) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position having five points less than leader Sundsvall. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side still keep top place with five games lost. Sodertalje Kings are looking forward to face Nassjo (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Boras Basket (#4) and are hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Boras. Fourth ranked Boras Basket (21-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Solna Vikings (19-11) 91-89 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. It was a good game for the former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Terrence Oglesby contributed with 21 points for the winners. Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: FCM) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for Solna Vikings. Solna Vikings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boras Basket maintains fourth position with 21-9 record. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Boras Basket will play against league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Solna Vikings will play against 08 Stockholm (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sodertalje Kings (21-8) against eighth ranked LF Basket (14-16) on Tuesday night. Visiting Sodertalje Kings were defeated by LF Basket in Lulea 78-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sodertalje Kings. Henry Dugat scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was John Roberson with 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LF Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 08. Loser Sodertalje Kings keep the third position with eight games lost. LF Basket will meet at home KFUM Jamtland (#10) in the next round. Sodertalje Kings will play against Nassjo (#9) and hope to secure a win.

It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. Henry Dugat notched 23 points to lead the effort. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. LF Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 08. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the fifth position with ten games lost. LF Basket's next round opponent will be KFUM Jamtland (#10) at home. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against White Eagles (#11) in Stockholm.

In the last two games of round 30 Eagles was defeated by Uppsala in a road game 89-77. Jamtland were beaten by Nassjo at home 73-82.


Boras - Solna 91-89

Important game to mention about took place in Boras. Fourth ranked Boras Basket (21-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Solna Vikings (19-11) 91-89 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. Solna Vikings were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Boras Basket made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Norwegian-American guard Terrence Oglesby (188-88, college: Clemson) contributed with 21 points for the winners. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Eco Orebro's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Isiah Brown (203-89, college: E.Tenn.St.) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) chipped in 24 points. Four 08 Stockholm players scored in double figures. There was no surprise when 11th ranked White Eagles (5-25) were defeated on the road by third ranked Uppsala Basket (22-8) 89-77 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-77. Uppsala Basket outrebounded White Eagles 43-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. White Eagles were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Uppsala Basket's coach Kelly Grant used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Brandon McKnight (188-83, college: Purdue) who recorded 20 points and Latvian forward Agnis Cavars (196-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Canadian point guard Tut Ruach (188-85) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Liberian power forward Boakai Lalugba (202-81, college: Bucknell) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Tim Whitworth (198-81, college: Drexel) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
