The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

Basketettan round 19 caused change at the leadership position. Fifth defeat of league's leader IK Eos (14-5) against seventh ranked Eskilstuna (9-10) 84-76 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-19. But IK Eos won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Eskilstuna won last quarter 21-14. They also forced 21 IK Eos turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Eskilstuna made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Spanish Julian Rodriguez Lopez contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Center David Hult (204-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for IK Eos. Eskilstuna maintains seventh place in South with 9-10 record. IK Eos at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Brahe Basket. IK Eos will play next round against Hoganas trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Eskilstuna will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Boras II at home.
Leading Taby Basket (14-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Umea (13-7) 86-77. It was a great evening for forward Per Bergmark (195-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Albin Frank helped adding 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side point guard Jimmy Lundin (184-90) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Newly promoted Umea maintains fourth place in North with 13-7 record. Taby Basket at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Akropol. Umea will play against Orongo Dragons (#9) in Sundsvall in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Taby Basket will play on the road against Solna Branten (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Jarfalla between Brahe Basket and Jarfalla. Second ranked Brahe Basket (14-4) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Jarfalla (12-7). Brahe Basket managed to escape with a 1-point win 74-73 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Jarfalla. It was an exceptional evening for Matthew Cavalieri who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jean Alix came up with 21 points and 9 rebounds for Jarfalla in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brahe Basket have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of South leader. Newly promoted Jarfalla keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Malbas. Brahe Basket will meet at home Haga Haninge (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jarfalla will play against Talje Knights and hope to secure a win.
Very important is a road loss of first ranked IK Eos (14-5) against sixth ranked Haga Haninge (10-10) on Saturday night. Visiting IK Eos were crushed by Haga Haninge in Haninge 95-67. Bjorn Johansson fired 24 points for the winners. Haga Haninge's coach Stefan Ameln felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haga Haninge maintains sixth place in South with 10-10 record. IK Eos at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. Haga Haninge's next round opponent will be league's leader Brahe Basket in Huskvarna and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IK Eos will play on the road against Hoganas.
Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 19th consecutive match to tenth ranked Hogsbo (7-11) 87-69 on Saturday evening. It was a very good performance for Robert Isaksson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Hogsbo maintains tenth place in South with 7-11 record. Sanda Basket lost their nineteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 19 games lost. Hogsbo will face Helsingborg (#11) at home in the next round. Sanda Basket will play against Malbas in Malmo and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant.
In North Solna Branten beat BG Lulea on the road 89-79. Jarva Devils was destroyed by Orongo on its own court 63-105. Solna Branten unfortunately lost to LF Future in Lulea 83-93. Blackeberg managed to beat Umea at home 73-66. Uppsala KFUM was defeated by Alvik Basket on the opponent's court 80-94.
In South Haga Haninge was beaten by Malbas in a home game 62-76. Hoganas won against Helsingborg on the road 68-60. Boras II outscored Talje on its own court 87-62. Malbas rolled over Eskilstuna in Malmo 80-56.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 20 points and 19 rebounds by Jesper Eliasson of Solna Branten.



Group North
Taby - Umea 77-86

Leading Taby Basket (14-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Umea (13-7) 86-77. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Umea made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game, while Taby Basket only scored eight points from the stripe. Taby Basket was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Per Bergmark (195-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Albin Frank (184-90) helped adding 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side point guard Jimmy Lundin (184-90) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Erik Andersson (197-87) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. BG Lulea - Solna Branten 79-89

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Solna Branten (9-9) beat on the road 11th ranked BG Lulea (2-15) 89-79 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Solna Branten especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was a very good performance for forward Jesper Eliasson (204-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds. Niklas Larsson (198-94) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Forward Andreas Von Uthmann (196-96) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jesper Hallberg (196-95) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BG Lulea. Four Solna Branten and five BG Lulea players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Solna Branten. They maintain sixth place in North with 9-9 record. BG Lulea lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Solna Branten will face league's leader Taby Basket at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BG Lulea will play against KFUM Blackebergs (#5) in Vallingby.

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Jarva Devils (1-18) were smashed at home by ninth ranked Orongo Dragons (8-11) 105-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. Orongo Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Orongo Dragons shot 26 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Jarva Devils only scored ten points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Jarva Devils were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Alain Hakizimana (198-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Joakim Holmback (176-94) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Orongo Dragons players scored in double figures. Coach Adam Alexander's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Sermed Hasan (208-91) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American guard Erik Friman (194-92, college: Iona) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Jarva Devils. Orongo Dragons moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Uppsala KFUM. Jarva Devils lost their fourteenth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Rather predictable result when fourth ranked LF Future (13-4) won against 6th ranked Solna Branten (9-9) in Lulea 93-83 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by LF Future. Solna Branten was better in fourth quarter 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Future looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Erik Edin (184-91) who helped to win the game recording 28 points. Naturalized Australian swingman Timothy Kearney (200-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four LF Future players scored in double figures. point guard Simon Makkonen (185-94) answered with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jesper Eliasson (204-94) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Solna Branten. The victory was the third consecutive win for LF Future. They moved-up to third place in North. Loser Solna Branten keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12. But Umea won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KFUM Blackebergs made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for forward Mikael Walden (198-86) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Nicklas Bergstrom (205-78) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Hoganas (8-10) beat on the road 11th ranked Helsingborg (5-12) 68-60 on Wednesday. Helsingborg was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian guard Evaldas Juozapaitis (189-84) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian swingman Aurimas Baltrokonis (190-83) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Hoganas players scored in double figures. Forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Kosovan forward Gazmend Sinani (203-91) added 6 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Helsingborg. Helsingborg's coach Rachid El-Hallah rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hoganas moved-up to eighth place in South. Loser Helsingborg keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Hoganas will face higher ranked Boras II (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Helsingborg will play against Hogsbo (#10) in Goteborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game when 8th ranked Talje Knights (7-9) were smashed on the road by fourth ranked Boras II (11-5) 87-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Boras II. Talje Knights was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Talje Knights to just 7 points in third quarter. Boras II dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Talje Knights' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Talje Knights' players. It was a very good performance for forward Mohamed Nefatti (196-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Hajzer Ismaili (201-94) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Coach Magnus Jason's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Alexander Larsson (203-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Mario Blazevic (180-93) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Talje Knights. The victory was the third consecutive win for Boras II. Despite that victory Boras II went down to fifth position (South) due to points difference. Loser Talje Knights dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. Boras II will face Hoganas (#8) at home in the next round. Talje Knights will play against Jarfalla.

Spanish Julian Rodriguez Lopez answered with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Domingo Sanchez (-87) added 8 points in the effort for Eskilstuna. Brahe Basket managed to escape with a 1-point win 74-73 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Jarfalla. Brahe Basket forced 21 Jarfalla turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Jonatan Kebedom (175-90) accounted for 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Cavalieri is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Jean Alix (200-79) came up with 21 points and 9 rebounds and center Leonard Halling (200-92) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Jarfalla in the defeat. Four Jarfalla players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brahe Basket have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of South leader. Newly promoted Jarfalla keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Malbas. Brahe Basket will meet at home Haga Haninge (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jarfalla will play against Talje Knights and hope to secure a win.
