The Regular Season in Basketligan just ended.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Norrkoping. 4th placed host Norrkoping Dolphins (21-12) lost to first ranked Sundsvall Dragons (27-6) 93-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 24-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sundsvall Dragons made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Alex Wesby (198-80, college: Temple, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Icelandic guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Sundsvall Dragons maintains first place with 27-6 record. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Boras.
Eleventh ranked White Eagles (7-26) crushed at home 10th ranked Nassjo (7-26) by 21 points 90-69, which is the biggest margin this round. American point guard Brandon McKnight (188-83, college: Purdue) nailed 23 points and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and Ronaldas Rutkauskas accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian point guard Tut Ruach (188-85) came up with 21 points and 9 assists for Nassjo in the defeat. Nassjo's coach Stefan Timbus gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. White Eagles moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Nassjo. Nassjo lost third consecutive game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 33: bottom-ranked Eco Orebro lost to LF Basket on the opponent's court 90-94. Uppsala managed to outperform Solna in a home game 80-68. Boras recorded a loss to Sodertalje on the road 99-85. 08 defeated Jamtland on its own court 83-74.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by Tobias Borg of Sodertalje.

LF Basket - Eco Orebro 94-90

Very expected game in Lulea where 12th ranked Eco Orebro (5-28) was defeated by seventh ranked LF Basket (17-16) 94-90. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 25-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. The former international guard Christopher Ryan (196-90) nailed 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. LF Basket's coach Charles Barton allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. William Magarity (210-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and American-Bosnian point guard Terell Castle (182-72, college: Nicholls St., agency: Court Side) added 20 points and 9 assists respectively for Eco Orebro in the defeat. Four LF Basket and five Eco Orebro players scored in double figures. LF Basket have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 17-16 record. Eco Orebro lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games.

Uppsala - Solna 80-68

Rather predictable result when second ranked Uppsala Basket (25-8) defeated at home 6th ranked Solna Vikings (20-13) 80-68. The game without a history. Uppsala Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Uppsala Basket outrebounded Solna Vikings 37-22 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Johan Jeansson (198-85) accounted for 19 points. Four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: FCM) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) added 20 points respectively for Solna Vikings in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Uppsala Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 25-8 record having just two points less than leader Sundsvall. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the sixth position with 13 games lost.

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Boras Basket (21-12) was defeated on the road by third ranked Sodertalje Kings (24-9) 99-85. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Boras Basket was better in fourth quarter 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 50. They outrebounded Boras Basket 39-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Sodertalje Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International point guard Tobias Borg (183-93) nailed 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists. Five Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
