Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Swedish players who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Jonas Jerebko (206-87, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Detroit Pistons (23-41) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Jerebko's good performance the Detroit Pistons were defeated 87-77 on the road by the New York Knicks. He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It's Jerebko's fourth season with the team. This year Jerebko averages: 6.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 44.9%, 3FGP: 29.8% and FT: 69.0%. He is a naturalized American. Jerebko is currently a member of the Swedish senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Sweden.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Thomas Massamba (185-85, currently plays in Bulgaria). Massamba led Lukoil Academik to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Spartak Pleven (4-15) crushing them 93-70 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. He recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 32 minutes. Lukoil Academik Sofia (17-2) is placed first in the NBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. This year Massamba's overall stats are: 6.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.1apg, 1.2spg, 3FGP: 37.8% and FT: 78.3% in the 19 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Swedish senior national team.

   #3. The Swedish player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international forward Jeffery Taylor (200-89, college: Vanderbilt, currently plays in NBA). Taylor was not able to help the Charlotte Bobcats (13-50) in their game against the Sacramento Kings (22-42) in the NBA. He scored 9 points. But the Charlotte Bobcats were crushed 119-83 in Sacramento by the Kings. It was Bobcats' tenth consecutive loss in a row. Taylor's total stats this season are: 6.3ppg, 1.9rpg, 2FGP: 48.5%, 3FGP: 33.6% and FT: 72.6%. He is a naturalized American. Taylor played for the Swedish U20 national team five years ago. Apparently he has never played in Sweden.

   #4. Small forward Viktor Gaddefors (203-92, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Oknoplast BO (7-13) in their game against Angelico Biella (5-16) in the Italian SerieA. Gaddefors scored 9 points. But Oknoplast BO was defeated 87-76 in Biella by the one of league's weakest teams Angelico (#15). Gaddefors' total stats this season are: 4.7ppg and 2.8rpg. He is also Swedish national team player.

   #5. Former U20 international guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Georgia Southern University (8-12) crushing them 86-59 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Czerapowicz scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. The Davidson College has a very good 18-1 conference record this season. It was his team's 14th consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. This year Czerapowicz's total stats are: 4.7ppg and 2.8rpg in the 20 games. He used to play for the Swedish U20 national team two years ago.

   #6. Forward Elias Desport (201-92, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the St.Peter's (3-13) in their game against the Fairfield University (10-6) in the NCAA. Desport recorded 6 points. The St.Peter's was defeated 54-47 in Fairfield, CT by the Fairfield University. It was St.Peter's' fifth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. It's Desport's first season with the team. He has averaged so far and 5.1rpg. Desport is a former U18 international player as he played for the Swedish team three years ago.

   #7. International point guard Jonathan Person (192-93, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a 3-point Oettinger Rockets Gotha's victory against the closely-ranked ETB Wohnbau (10-15) 72-69 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded 7 points in 17 minutes. BiG Oettinger Rockets Gotha (9-16) is placed second from the bottom (#15) in the ProA. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. Person has averaged so far 5.3ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.4apg in the nine games. He is also Swedish national team player.

   #8. Point guard Ludvig Hakanson (190-96, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help FCB Regal II (9-12) in their game against Caceres Basket (9-12) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Hakanson cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. FCB Regal II was defeated 85-71 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Caceres_Basket (#8). This season Hakanson averages just 2.7ppg. He plays currently for the Swedish U18 national team.


The list of other players, who all have Swedish passport but never been selected to any of Swedish national teams:

   #1. Maciej Lampe (211-F/C-85, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Spanish team Caja Laboral to a victory against the eighth-ranked Besiktas (0-10) 83-73 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. Caja Laboral Vitoria (5-5) is placed sixth in group F. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Lampe belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #4 with 6.2rpg. He also averaged so far 13.2ppg in the 20 games he played so far. Lampe has a dual citizenship: Polish and Swedish.

   #2. Demetrius Brown (201-F-83, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL could not help one of league's weakest teams Kotwica (6-16) in their last game. Despite Brown's very good performance Kotwica lost 85-95 on the road to the higher-ranked (#10) Rosa Radom. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Brown also added 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) in 22 minutes. The Regular Season already ended. It's Brown's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in the 15 games. Brown is a naturalized American. He used to play for Ockelbo BBK in Swedish league.

   #3. Hussein Tawbeh (198-F-82, currently plays in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese Division A was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Hoops Club (5-14) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Tawbeh's good performance Hoops Club was defeated 108-97 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Byblos (#6). He recorded 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Tawbeh's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Tawbeh has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 7.1rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Swedish and Lebanese.

   #4. Challe Barton (190-G, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Oregon St. (4-13) in their last game. Despite Barton's very good performance the Oregon St. lost 61-72 in Salt Lake City, UT to the University of Utah. He scored 15 points in 24 minutes. It was Oregon St.'s fifth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Barton has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 7.1rpg in the 16 games.

   #5. Experienced Daniel Bwomono (197-F-77, currently plays in Norway), who plays in the Norwegian BLNO couldn't help Ammerud Bskt in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the first-placed Ammerud Bskt was edged 86-84 in Bekkestua by the lower-ranked Baerum Basket (#3) in the Challenge group. Bwomono was the second best scorer with 22 points. He also added 6 rebounds and made 3 blocks. It's Bwomono's first season with the team. Bwomono has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 2.6rpg.

   #6. Elias Westerlund (197-F-88, currently plays in Norway), who plays in the Norwegian BLNO couldn't help Asker Aliens in their last game. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Asker Aliens was badly defeated 92-74 in Bergen by the lower-ranked (#4) Gimle BBK in the Challenge group. Westerlund was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Westerlund is currently third on the list of top scorers with 21.4ppg. This year he also averages: 5.1rpg in the 20 games.

Norrkoping Dolphins (Basketligan) added to their roster 24-year old forward Fredrik Larsson (201-93). He started the season at Malbas (Basketligan). Larsson has played there for the last three years. In 15 Basketligan games he recorded 11.3ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2apg this season. The last season he played also at Malbas where in 33 Basketligan games he averaged 10.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg. 26-year old point guard Gino Panghulan (175-PG-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for KFUM Blackeberg and receives a Eurobasket.com Basketettan Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage). He had the game-high 25 points adding three rebounds and three assists for KFUM Blackeberg in his team's victory, helping them to beat BG Lulea (#6, 2-4) 72-65. The Second Stage in Basketettan just started. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Eskilstuna (6-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by IK Eos (6-1) 84-73.
