An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lulea. First ranked BC Lulea faced 3rd placed Boras Basket. Host BC Lulea (17-3) defeated guests from Boras (11-10) 82-71. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. BC Lulea made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) produced 22 points for the guests. BC Lulea have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-3 record. Boras Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with ten games lost. BC Lulea are looking forward to face Nassjo (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Boras Basket will have a break next round.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Norrkoping Dolphins maintains second place with 14-5 record having four points less than leader BC Lulea. Nassjo at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Uppsala Basket (#5) on the road in the next round. Nassjo will play against the league's leader BC Lulea and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last game of round 23 bottom-ranked Malbas were defeated by Umea in a road game 95-77.
The best stats of 23th round was 17 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists by George Valentine of Umea.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Malbas' (1-18) road loss to eighth ranked Umea (4-16) 77-95. It looked good early as Malbas took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Umea had a 33-27 second period charge getting the lead and Malbas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-95. American forward George Valentine (203-88, college: Winthrop, agency: Mansfield and Associates) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Gerald Williams (190-91, college: La Sierra) contributed with 24 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Umea players scored in double figures. Umea's coach Jesper Gustavsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Danish center Lasse Elbaek (208-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Malbas. Umea maintains eighth place with 4-16 record. Malbas lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Umea will play against higher ranked KFUM Jamtland (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Malbas will play against Sodertalje Kings to get more than just one victory in their record.

There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of Superettan and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Superettan top team - Djurgarden (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Alvik Basket (0-3) in Stockholm 91-82.
