There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Basketligan.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked BC Lulea (22-8) on the court of fourth ranked Uppsala Basket on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Uppsala Basket 97-88. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-88. Uppsala Basket shot 63.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by BC Lulea helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91) scored 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Andreas Person (190-91) chipped in 30 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. At the losing side point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) responded with 19 points and 7 assists. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Uppsala Basket maintains fourth position with 18-11 record. BC Lulea at the other side still keeps top place with eight games lost. Uppsala Basket are looking forward to face Nassjo (#7) on the road in the next round. BC Lulea will play against KFUM Jamtland (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
Fifth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (15-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Sodertalje Kings (21-8). The visitors from Sodertalje managed to secure only one-point victory 99-98. However their fans expected easier game. Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) notched 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Tanel Kurbas supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 25 points and 6 assists by American guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for KFUM Jamtland. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Norrkoping. KFUM Jamtland at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Boras. Sodertalje Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Jamtland will play on the road against the league's leader BC Lulea (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Nassjo was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Boras Basket (15-15) played at the court of seventh ranked Nassjo (14-17). Nassjo managed to secure a 6-point victory 67-61 on Friday. Dartaye Ruffin fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Jerome Seagears produced 25 points for lost side. Boras Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nassjo maintains seventh position with 14-17 record. Loser Boras Basket dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Jamtland. Nassjo will meet at home higher ranked Uppsala Basket (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boras Basket will play against Malbas and hope to secure a win.
9th ranked Malbas (3-27) were outscored at home by second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (21-8) with the biggest margin this round 102-55. Worth to mention a great performance of Cole Darling who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Adnan Chuk felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-8 record behind leader BC Lulea, which they share with Sodertalje. Malbas at the other side stay dead last with 27 lost games. Norrkoping Dolphins' next round opponent will be Umea (#8) at home where they are favorite. Malbas will play against Boras Basket and hope to win that game.

Malbas - Norrkoping 55-102

9th ranked Malbas (3-27) were outscored at home by second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (21-8) with the biggest margin this round 102-55. The game without a history. Norrkoping Dolphins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Malbas only scored six points from the stripe. Norrkoping Dolphins shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Cole Darling (203-91, college: Wright St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Fredrik Larsson (201-93) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Adnan Chuk felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Jordan Peltier (193-95) replied with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American guard Adrian Rodgers (194-92, college: Southern, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Malbas. Jamtland - Sodertalje 98-99

Fifth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (15-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Sodertalje Kings (21-8). The visitors from Sodertalje managed to secure only one-point victory 99-98. However their fans expected easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 31-28. But KFUM Jamtland won second period 29-28. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) notched 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Estonian guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 25 points and 6 assists by American guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for KFUM Jamtland. Estonian swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) added 13 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. They outrebounded Boras Basket 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. American center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. The other American import Auston Barnes (203-91, college: Bradley) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. American guard Jerome Seagears (185-92, college: UNLV, agency: Diamond Sports) produced 25 points and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Boras Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nassjo maintains seventh position with 14-17 record. Loser Boras Basket dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Jamtland.
