Taylor
American Power forward Joseph Taylor (203-F/C-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Djurgarden, receiving a Eurobasket.com Basketettan Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Hogsbo (#7, 3-8) with 21-point margin 94-73. It allowed Djurgarden to consolidate first place in the Swedish Basketettan. Djurgarden has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Djurgarden's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Wyoming star has very solid stats this year. Taylor is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.9rpg) and averages impressive 1.4bpg,66.1% FGP and 41.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Marcus Friman (203-C-95) of league's leader Norrort. Friman had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Norrort to edge the lower-ranked KFUM Uppsala (#6, 4-8) 72-66. Of course Norrort still keep Basketettan's top spot. His team lost just two games this Second Stage, while they won 11 matches. Friman is one of the most experienced players at Norrort and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#8). He also registered 8.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Samuel Eliasson Godonou (185-G-93) of Talje (#8). Godonou scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Godonou's great performance Talje lost 78-95 to the higher-ranked IK Eos (#2, 13-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Talje can only dream about fighting for top spots in Basketettan. They have rather bad season and 3-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Godonou he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Godonou has a very solid season. In 3 games in Sweden he scored 9.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Felix Adjei (190-G) of Eskilstuna - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Nils Hedstrom (190-G-83) of KFUM Central - 31 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Jesper Eliasson (203-PF-94) of AIK - 20 points and 11 rebounds
7. Kevin Senghore-Peterson (198-F-98) of RIG Mark - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Jonatan Arvidsson (182-PG-98) of BG Lulea - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Ronnie Boggs (192-G-91) of Koping - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Olle Lundqvist (198-G-99) of Jamtland II - 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
