The Regular Season in Basketettan just started. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of BG Lulea (1-1) on the court of Taby Basket on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Taby Basket 74-62. Taby Basket forced 31 BG Lulea turnovers and outrebounded them 128-90 including a 50-32 advantage in offensive rebounds. Taby Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 43 assists comparing to just 27 passes made by BG Lulea's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taby Basket made 69 blocks. 43 personal fouls committed by BG Lulea helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and forward Kasper Adolfsson (193-95) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side point guard David Hook (185-99) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taby Basket is looking forward to face AIK II (#5) in Solna in the next round. BG Lulea will have a break next round.
Very significant was Nacka Basket's 26-point road victory against KFUM Uppsala 92-66. Swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Basem Abdulkader accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Samuel Eliasson Godonou (185-93) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds for KFUM Uppsala in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nacka Basket will play against KFUM Central in Stockholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Uppsala will have a break next round.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Helsingborg. host Helsingborg (1-0) smashed Haga BG (0-1) 78-56. Mads Rasmussen fired 30 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lucas Lindh produced 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Haga BG's coach David Bergstrom gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Helsingborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Haga BG will play against Eskilstuna (#5) and hope to win that game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Bankeryd. host Bankeryd (1-0) smashed Brahe Basket (0-1) 115-74. Worth to mention a great performance of Kristoffer Gronhage who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bankeryd's coach Anders Johansson felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bankeryd will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play at home against RIG Mark (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

KFUM Blackeberg's coach Adam Engstrom tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BG Lulea will have a break next round. KFUM Blackeberg will play on the road against Akropol (#6) in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 1 winless Orebro lost to undefeated Huddinge on the opponent's court 67-93. KFUM Central outscored Sundsvall in a home game 100-75.

Superettan top team - Djurgarden (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Alvik Basket (0-3) in Stockholm 91-82. After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Basketettan and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.
