We bring you last week's top performances from Swedish players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He could not help Tsmoki-Minsk (4-0) in their last game. Despite Czerapowicz's very good performance Tsmoki-Minsk was edged 68-68 at home by the much lower-ranked (#14) JSF Nanterre. He scored 18 points, 8 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court. Czerapowicz's team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Qualifying Round. And that game will be critical. Czerapowicz has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 36.4%, 3FGP: 44.4% in five games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Czerapowicz played for the Swedish senior national team one years ago. Strangely he has never played in Sweden.

Simon Birgander

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international power forward Simon Birgander (211-97, agency: Dynamics Global Management, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Birgander was not able to help Joventut (2-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Joventut was edged 71-71 on the road by the much lower-ranked Joensuun_Kataja (#24). Birgander recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds. The Qualifying Round already ended in the Basketball Champions League. It's Birgander's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.3bpg, 2FGP: 62.1%(18-29) and FT: 58.3%. Birgander is in the roster of the Swedish U20 national team.

   #3. The Swedish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Johan Lofberg (199-95, currently plays in Spain). He led Leche Rio Breogan to a victory over the 16th-ranked Ourense (0-1) 83-71 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Saturday night. Lofberg was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in 24 minutes. It was his first game for Leche Rio Breogan this season. His team is placed second in the LEB Gold. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Former Eco Orebro starter played for the Swedish national team one years ago.

Charles Barton

   #4. Point guard Charles Barton (193-92, agency: Diamond Sports, college: Oregon St., currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a Kirchheim Knights' victory against the ninth-ranked Baunach (0-1) 87-72 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. Barton recorded 19 points and added 5 assists. It was his first game for Kirchheim Knights this season. His team is placed fifth in the ProA. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Barton used to play for the Swedish national team last year.

   #5. International point guard Ludde Hakanson (190-96, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) was not able to secure a victory for Movil Estudiantes in their game against Groningen (2-2) in the Basketball Champions League. He scored 8 points in 16 minutes. It was his first game for Movil Estudiantes this season. Movil Estudiantes was edged 76-76 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked (#8) Groningen. Hakanson used to play for the Swedish national team last year.

William Gutenius
William Gutenius
   #6. Forward William Gutenius (205-92, also represented by Diamond Sports, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help (0-1) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance was defeated 84-80 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked Oviedo_CB (#6). Gutenius recorded 10 points. It was his first game for this season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Gutenius is a former university international player as he played for the Swedish team two years ago.

   #7. Former international forward Pierre Hampton (201-91, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in United Kingdom) managed to help Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders in a victory against the tenth-ranked Manchester Giants (0-1) 86-70 in the British BBL in Friday night's game. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. It was his first game for Leicester Riders this season. His team is placed first in the BBL. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Hampton used to play for the Swedish national team three years ago.

   #8. Forward Plaisir Mukoko (198-91, currently plays in Norway) contributed to an Ammerud Bskt's victory against the league outsider Baerum Basket (0-4) 67-58 in the Norwegian BLNO last Sunday. He scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Ammerud Basket Oslo (1-2) is placed seventh in the BLNO. Mukoko is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Ammerud Bskt's roster. This season Mukoko averages: 9.5ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg. He used to play for the Swedish U20 national team back in 2011.

   #9. U16 international guard Melwin Jan Pantzar (190-0, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Movistar Estudiantes Madrid B (0-2) 85-67 in a derby game in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night. Pantzar recorded 8 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 29 minutes. It was his first game for Real Madrid II this season. His team is placed third in Group B. Pantzar used to play for the Swedish U16 national team last year.

   #10. Forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a Miasto Szkla's victory against one of league's weakest teams GTK (0-1) 82-76 in the Polish PLK in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 3 points. It was his first game for Miasto Szkla this season. His team is placed second in the PLK. Gaddefors is international player as one years ago he still played for the Swedish senior national team.

   #11. U18 international power forward Felix Edwardsson (205-99, currently plays in Germany) faced previously mentioned Charles Barton in the German ProA last game. Edwardsson couldn't help Baunach in their game against Kirchheim Knights. He recorded 6 points in 25 minutes. It was his first game for Baunach this season. His team lost 72-87. Edwardsson plays currently for the Swedish U18 national team.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Swedish passport:

   #1. Lars Oskar Granath (183-G-95, currently plays in Norway) managed to help Gimle BBK Bergen to win against the closely-ranked Tromso (1-1) 75-66 in the Norwegian BLNO on Saturday night. He recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Gimle BBK Bergen (2-1) is placed fifth in the BLNO. Granath's overall stats this season are: 3.0ppg, 3.3rpg and 4.3apg.   

Superettan Round 4: Top-ranked Djurgarden wins another game - 7 hours ago
There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of Superettan and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Superettan top team - Djurgarden (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Alvik Basket (0-3) in Stockholm 91-82. Basketettan Round 4: Boras II lose to Helsingborg - 8 hours ago
After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Basketettan and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. KFUM Jamtland Basket(Basketligan)signed the 31year oldWilliam Walker(197-104kg-87, college:Bethel, IN)with a one-month contract. The american forward replaces Brandon Taylor, who's currently getting ready from an injury. Walker played last year at KTP Basket Kotka in finnish Korisliiga and at Inter Bratislava in slovakian SBL where's he helped the club to win the SBL Championship.
