Aarau clinch LNB title - May 15, 2012

BC Alte Kanti Aarau celebrated the LNB title. They defeated Neuchatel in the decisive third game of the Finals. Jason Perry (193-F-84, college: William Penn) came up with 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the winners.
Neuchatel opened the game aggressively. They held their opponents to 12 points in the opening frame to take a 4-point lead. Aarau narrowed the gap in the second term. The visitors trailed by just two points at the interval 27:29. Neuchatel managed to score just 10 points in the third term as BC AKA grabbed a 40:39 lead. The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the fourth period but BC AKA proved calm in the decisive moments to seal the victory at the end. Yannic Ngarambe (194-G/F-89) and Michael Polite (203-F-68, college: Florida St.) finished with 10 points each for the winners. Herb Johnson (209-F/C-62, college: Tulsa) answered with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Neuchatel. Derrick Lang (194-G-80, college: Incarnate Word) and Luka Vertel (196-G/F-86) netted 13 points each in the loss.
