Tenth-ranked Swiss Central (6-14) gave a tough game to second ranked Meyrin Geneve (15-4) in Luzern on Saturday. The visitors from Geneve managed to secure only one-point victory 73-72. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Swiss Central. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-13. But Swiss Central won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Meyrin Geneve have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record having six points less than leader Neuchatel. Swiss Central at the other side keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Pully and Blonay Basket. Meyrin Geneve are looking forward to face league's leader Neuchatel at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Swiss Central will play against Bern (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
LNB top team - Neuchatel (20-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Bernex (10-10) in Geneve 89-74. Undefeated Neuchatel have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-0 record. Bernex lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Neuchatel will play against league's second-placed Meyrin Geneve on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bernex will play against Academie Fribourg (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Ninth ranked Zurich Wildcats (7-12) crushed at home 10th ranked Blonay Basket (6-14) by 27 points 72-45, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Zurich Wildcats maintains ninth position with 7-12 record. Newly promoted Blonay Basket keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Pully and Swiss Central. Zurich Wildcats will meet higher ranked Nyon U23 (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Blonay Basket will play against Pully (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 20: Villars won against DDV Lugano on the opponent's court 86-78. Pully unfortunately lost to BC AKA in a home game 65-81. Nyon U23 managed to beat Acad.Fribourg on the road 98-81. Vevey defeated Bern on its own court 78-71.


Zurich Wildcats - Blonay Basket 72-45

Ninth ranked Zurich Wildcats (7-12) crushed at home 10th ranked Blonay Basket (6-14) by 27 points 72-45, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Zurich Wildcats. Blonay Basket managed to win fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bernex - Neuchatel 74-89

LNB top team - Neuchatel (20-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Bernex (10-10) in Geneve 89-74. Very expected game in Davesco-Soragno where 13th ranked DDV Lugano (3-16) was defeated by eighth ranked Villars (9-11) 86-78 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But DDV Lugano won third quarter 30-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Villars maintains eighth position with 9-11 record. DDV Lugano lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Acad.Fribourg. Villars will meet at home higher ranked BC AKA (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. DDV Lugano will play against Vevey (#3) and hope to secure a win.

Pully - BC AKA 65-81

Very predictable result when fourth ranked BC AKA (14-6) defeated on the road 11th ranked Pully (6-14) 81-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. BC AKA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC AKA moved-up to third place, which they share with Vevey. Loser Pully dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Swiss Central and Blonay Basket. BC AKA will meet Villars (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Pully will play against Blonay Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Newly promoted Nyon U23 maintains sixth position with 12-8 record. Loser Academie Fribourg keeps the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with DDV Lugano. Nyon U23 will meet at home Zurich Wildcats (#9) in the next round. Academie Fribourg will play against Bernex (#7) in Geneve and hope to secure a win.

Vevey - Bern 78-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Vevey and 5th ranked Bern had identical 13-6 record. This time Vevey used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bern 78-71 on Wednesday night. Bern trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 16-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-78 at the end of the game. Vevey (14-6) moved-up to third place, which they share with BC AKA. Loser Bern keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Vevey will meet bottom-ranked DDV Lugano (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bern will play against Swiss Central (#10) in Luzern and hope to secure a win.

Vevey Riviera Basket (LNB) added to their roster 30-year old power forward Arnaud Barapila (196-87) from BBC Nyon. The last season Barapila played at BBC Lausanne where in 16 LNB games he recorded 3.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the LNB title (twice).
