Renee Taylor
Sdent Helios strengthened their roster prior to the start of LNA playoffs. They landed two import players. Sdent Helios signed deals with Mandisa Stevenson (191-C-82, college: Auburn) and Renee Taylor (158-G-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: Miami, FL).
Mandisa Stevenson started the season in Spain. She played for Cadi la Seu. The centre tallied 9.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in LFB. Last season Mandisa Stevenson spent with Extrugasa in Spain. Her stats read 8.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per appearance. Previously Mandisa Stevenson had spells in France, Latvia, Spain and WNBA.
Renee Taylor tipped off the season in Poland. The guard played for Artego Bydgoszcz. Her stats read 12.1 points, 4.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals per appearance. Earlier in 2011 Renee Taylor had a stint with Valencianas de Juncos in Puerto Rico. She averaged 24.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.8 steals per appearance. Latinbasket.com named Renee Taylor into All-Puerto Rican BSNF 1st Team.

Uniao Sportiva lands Jassany Williams, ex Aarau - 8 days ago
Clube Uniao Sportiva Ponta Delgada (Liga Feminina) tabbed 25-year old American power forward Jassany Williams (188-92, college: Miami, FL). She played most recently at BC Alte Kanti Aarau in Swiss LNA league. In 13 games she averaged 14.2ppg, 12.5rpg (leader !!!), 1.7spg and 3.9bpg last season. Williams helped them to make it to the Swiss League Cup Semifinals. She graduated from University of Miami, Florida in 2015 and it is her second season in pro basketball. Giroud number one in Switzerland for round 12 - 11 days ago
Former international Power forward Marielle Giroud (182-F/C-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Helios, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. The 29-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 20 rebounds, while her team beat Pully (#6, 4-7) 80-67. Helios maintains the 2nd position in Swiss LNA. LNA Round 12: Aarau lose to Fribourg in the game between Top 4 teams - 14 days ago
Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game between Top Four teams took place in Fribourg. First ranked host Fribourg (9-1) smashed 3rd ranked Aarau (6-5) 70-49. The game was mostly controlled by Fribourg. Aarau managed to win fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
