Hungary U20-Switzerland U20 53:60

Switzerland pip Hungary at the U20 European Championship in Division B. The Swiss side grabbed 60:53 win in Sofia.
Marko Mladjan (205-F-93) and Mate Meszaros exchanged the early lead and then Milos Bozovic (201-F-92) tied the game at 6:6. Switzerland grabbed 13:10 at the end of the first period, while Laszlo Polyak (190-G-93) tied it again at 18:18. Although Hungary won the second period 14-12, the opponents enjoyed 25-24 lead at the halftime. Moreover Hungary needed 21-15 in the third quarter to take 45:40 after three quarters. Somenek scored for 53:50, but could not score anymore in the game. Switzerland finished with 10-0 run to win their opener.
Brian Savoy (192-G-92) stepped up with 23 points for the winners. Marko Mladjan netted 15, while Milos Bozovic added 10. Laszlo Polyak finished the game with 14 points in defeat and Mate Mate Meszaros had 11. Peter Jakab (187-G-93) delivered 10 and Balazs Kerpel-Fronius (195-G/F-92) chipped in with 4.

BC Winterthur (LNA) landed 25-year old naturalized Serbian guard Nikola Stevanovic (195-92) from Swiss Central. In 22 LNA games he averaged just 3.0ppg and 2.2rpg last season.Among other achievements Stevanovic's team made it to the LNB Semifinals in 2013.
