Robbi you will soon start a new experience as head coach at the highest level in Switzerland. Tell us something about your feelings and your team.

- My feelings are good especially because I know i can count 100% on the guys. A great group I am coaching since several years. They will be ready to give their maximum and maybe more than that. I am a very proud coach: I have the chance to coach in the club where I grew up and I did not want to miss this opportunity. There will be no place for mistakes, I have to work very hard like always and I am sure results will come.

Which are the goals you fixed for your team and for the players.

- Our goals are to let young players improve and give them the chance to play in LNA.
Also to give the possibility, to who is already playing in LNA, to become an important player for the first team. With our foreigners' players help, the team goal is to reach the play-off.

Can you tell us how do you see your team playing on the court?

- My team will have to be very aggressive in defense and try to play a lot in transition. Don't give easy baskets away and fight each action. Home factor will be a must.

Last question is about transfers: where are we know?

- As foreigneir players we already signed Jamelle Barret A point/shooting guard and we are looking for three more. About Swiss guys Ludovico Basso, Randon Grninger, Slavisa Pantic and Davide Garruti will join the team: all these guys really want to show their potential. Confirmed players:Taulant Murati, Daniel Andjelkovic, Fabio Appavou.
We will talk with Slaven Smilianjc in the next days.

De Gottrau comes back to Villars - 3 days ago

Villars Basket (LNB) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old power forward Ludovic De Gottrau (194-91). It is actually his comeback to Villars as he has played here before. De Gottrau played recently at Fribourg Olympic (LNA). LNB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He helped them to win the Supercup. The last season De Gottrau played at Pully Basket where in 22 LNB games he recorded 7.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.8spg. He contributed to his te...   [read more]

Chris Jones gets MVP of the Week award for Swiss LNA - 4 days ago

American Chris Jones (188-G-93) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Starwings and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 23-year old guard had the game-high 24 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Starwings in his team's victory, helping them to beat Lugano Tigers (#10, 3-5) 64-56. Starwings is placed at 4th position in Swiss LNA. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in...   [read more]
