Switzerland U16 - Austria U16 72:57

Switzerland opened win count at U20 European Championship in Division B. They fired past Austria in Group D. Anthony Polite (190-SF-97) came up with 16 points and 12 rebounds to pace the winners.
Switzerland stunned their opponents early in the game. They went on a 21:6 run. The Swiss team extended the lead in the second quarter. They piled up a 41:21 halftime advantage. Switzerland boosted the lead in the third quarter. They arrived at the final intermission up by 23 points 58:35. Austria outscored their opponents in the fourth frame but just sweetened the pill at the end. Owandji Otoka (185-SF-96) netted 15 points, while Luka Mandic (195-F-96) and Mattia Cafisi (181-PG-97) had 8 points each for the winners. Marvin Ogunsipe (193-F-96) replied with 19 points for Austria. Florian Keller (188-F-96) finished with 9 points in the loss.

Vevey Riviera Basket (LNB) strengthened their roster with addition of 34-year old Ivorian small forward Ismael N'Diaye (197-82, college: FIU). He is not a newcomer in Swiss League as he played last season at BBC Lausanne (LNB). In 19 games N'Diaye recorded 12.2ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.6apg and 1.9spg. He helped them to win the league title. Babacar Toure agreed terms with Vevey - 15 minutes ago

Vevey Riviera Basket (LNB) inked 31-year old Senegalese ex-international power forward Babacar Toure (205-85). He has played for the last three years at Union Neuchatel Basket (LNA). In 39 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 11.5rpg (#2 in the league), 1.5apg, 1.7spg and 1.6bpg last season. Toure helped them to make it to the final and cup semifinals.
