Portugal wins Group H despite the loss from the Switzerland at the Classification Round for 9th to 18th Place in Division B of the U20 European Championship. The latter won 52:42 and finished fourth with 2-2 record.
Switzerland won the opening tip 4-0 and Brian Savoy (192-SG-92) later brought 11:3. Milos Bozovic (201-F-92) delivered two for 15:8 and Jeremy Landenbergue (182-PG-93) nailed three for 24:12. Switzerland added 19-15 in the second frame and led 30:19 at the halftime. Brian Savoy made another three free throws later in the third quarter for 35:26, while Miguel Cardoso (184-PG-93) closed the frame at 40:34. Portugal could not score for the first 7 minutes in the last stanza and allowed the opponents to take 43:34 advantage. Evrard Atcho (207-C/F-92) and Ventura scored the last points for their teams for the final result.
Brian Savoy paced all the winners with 16 points, while Evrard Atcho collected 13 points and 14 rebounds. Marko Mladjan (206-F-93), Jeremy Landenbergue and Milos Bozovic followed them with 6 points apiece. Joao Grosso (198-F-94) delivered 10 in defeat and Miguel Cardoso scored 7.

BC AKA claim LNB title - May 14, 2013

BC AK Aarau celebrated the LNB title. They swept the title series against Vevey. The decisive victory came on the road 68:71. BC AKA jumped to an early lead. They built a 36:27 halftime advantage. The Aarau team kept their opponents at bay throughout the second half and rolled the victory at the end. Domenico Marcario (180-PG-79) exploded with 29 points for Vevey but could not prevent his team from losing. It was the second champions title for BC AKA in their LNB history.    [read more]
