Montenegro registered the second win at the U18 European Championship in Division B. They overcame Switzerland in Group C action. Montenegro improved thus at 2-1 record, while Switzerland slipped at 0-3. Milija Mikovic (205-C-94) came up with 29 points to pace the winners.
Montenegro held their counterparts to 8 points in the first quarter to take a 7-point lead. Montenegro consolidated their lead in the second quarter. The Balkan team went on a 27:11 rally to deepen the margin. Montenegro entered the second half up by 23 points. Switzerland cut the margin in the third term. They got within 14 points at the final intermission. But Montenegro reacted with 21:15 run in the fourth term and sealed the victory. Vasilije Vusovic (191-G-94) netted 9 points, while Masan Vrbica (190-G-94) contributed 8 points for the winning side. Daniel Andjelkovic (200-PF-94) answered with 16 points for Switzerland. Leo Schittenhelm (194-SF-94) had 14 points in defeat.

30-year old forward Markel Humphrey (198-F-86, agency: Three Eye Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Monthey and receives a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 18. He had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Monthey in his team's victory, helping them to beat Geneve Lions (#4, 10-6) 90-79. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vevey. First ranked Vevey faced 4th ranked Pully. Host Vevey (13-3) defeated guests from Pully (10-6) 76-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Pully. Pully trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 21-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-76 at the end of the game.
