Uni Basel Basket strengthened their roster. They agreed on terms of contract with Michelle Harrison (190-F-87, college: Utah). The forward will start her pro career in Switzerland. Michell Harrison graduated from the University of Utah in 2011. The forward notched 4.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in her senior season. She was MWC Tournament winner with the Utes. Previously Michell Harrison studied and played for Stanford University. She played in NCAA Final Four in 2009. In 2010 Michelle Harrison made it into NCAA Final with the Cardinals. She was PAC-10 Tournament Winner in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

LNA is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 9 rounds left. The game between third ranked Winterthur (5-3) and eighth ranked BBC Troist. (2-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Winterthur was defeated by BBC Troist. in a tough game in Winterthur 68-76. Giroud's double-double lands her Player of the Week award - 9 days ago

29-year old power forward Marielle Giroud (182-F/C-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Helios and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. She had a double-double of 14 points and 26 rebounds, while her team outclassed Geneve Basket (#5, 3-4) with 44-point margin 85-41. Helios maintains the 2nd position in Swiss LNA. The game in Geneve supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked Helios (6-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Geneve Basket (3-4). Helios smashed Geneve Basket 85-41 on Sunday. The game without a history. Helios led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter.
