BC Donetsk recorded the first win at their training camp in Italy. They overcame Swiss Vacallo. Darius Songaila (204-C/F-78, agency: Priority Sports, college: Wake Forest) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Ukrainian powerhouse.
BC Donetsk led by just two points after ten minutes 18:16. The teams stayed close throughout the second frame. BC Donetsk eked out a 33:30 halftime advantage. BC Donetsk remained in charge throughout the third period. The Ukrainian team entered the fourth frame up by 4 points. They held Vacallo to 15 points in the fourth period and clinched the victory at the end. D'or Fischer (211-C-81, college: W.Virginia) posted 9 points, while Doron Perkins (188-PG-83, college: Santa Clara) had 8 points in the win. Ivan Kuburovic (203-F-81) answered with 21 points for Vacallo. Larry O'Bannon (194-G-83, agency: Interperformances, college: Louisville) had 16 points in the loss.

Geneve Lions - Lugano Tigers 93-65 Geneve Lions had little problem en route to the opening win in the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Geneve Lions. Lugano Tigers managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
