Spartak Saint Petersburg played the last sixth game at the training camp in Bormio. They faced Lugano Tigers from Switzerland. Spartak dominated the game and posted well-deserved win at the end. Loukas Mavrokefalidis (209-C-84) accounted for 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
Spartak gained a 23:15 lead at the first break. Lugano cut the deficit to 6 points at halftime 39:45. But Spartak increased the tempo in the third term. The Russian team cleared off to a 17-point distance before the fourth quarter. Spartak limited the Tigers to just 4 points in the fourth frame and sealed the win. Janis Strelnieks (191-PG-89) provided 15 points, while Josh Carter (201-F/G-88, college: Texas A&M) added 14 points in the victory. Korvotney Barber (201-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Auburn) responded with 21 points for Lugano. Dusan Mladjan (198-SG-86, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points in the loss.

LNA Round 3 of Finals. Neuchatel beat Fribourg to stay alive - May 23, 2016

Neuchatel - Fribourg 82-68 Neuchatel fired past Fribourg to stay alive in the LNA title chase. The game was mostly controlled by Neuchatel. Fribourg managed to win fourth quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists....   [read more]

BC Boncourt 2nd team Red Team announced Nicolas Perot as new head coach of LNA team. Last season the French specialist worked also as head coach with BC Boncourt 2nd team U23 in 1LN. Perot replaces Antoine Petitjean after six seasons.   [read more]

Jean-Marc Jaumin signs with Lions de Geneve - May 18, 2016

Lions de Geneve tabbed 46-year old Belgian coach Jean-Marc Jaumin. He moved there from Lugano Tigers (LNA) where he coached this season. He helped them to win the supercup. His new team Lions de Geneve finished the Regular Season on the third place with a 21-6 record, but lost in the semifinals to Neuchatel. The last season Jaumin coached at The Bright Kings Den Helder (Eredivisie) in Dutch league. He has coached also professionally in Greece, Spain and Belgium (Oostende).   [read more]
