The Regular Season in LNA just started.

SAM Massagno - Geneve Lions 72-93

The game without a history. Geneve Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to SAM Massagno's 20. Geneve Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by SAM Massagno's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tony Brown (193-G-79, college: Arkansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Jamelle Barrett (180-88) answered with 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Tommy Freeman (195-88, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SAM Massagno. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

BBC Nyon - Lugano Tigers 66-85

The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. BBC Nyon managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Strangely BBC Nyon outrebounded Lugano Tigers 47-31 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Korvotney Barber (201-87, college: Auburn, agency: Pro One Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and the former international Dusan Mladjan (198-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 26 points. Lugano Tigers' coach Randoald Dessarzin used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import swingman Marvin Owens (196-86, college: Northwood) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds.

Starwings - SAV Vacallo 60-69

The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Starwings won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SAV Vacallo made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Starwings turnovers. American guard Larry O'Bannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and Serbian forward Ivan Kuburovic (203-81) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW, agency: Warren Sports International) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian-Irish swingman Tony McCrory (199-77, college: Simon Fraser) scored 19 points. Four Starwings players scored in double figures.

Boncourt - Monthey 87-71

Monthey managed to win third quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Boncourt especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. American swingman Shy Ely (194-87, college: Evansville, agency: Merit Sports) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Jackson Capel (191-87, college: Evangel) chipped in 19 points. Boncourt's coach Antoine Petitjean used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian forward Adnan Hodzic (203-88, college: Lipscomb) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and international Jonathan Dubas (202-91) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Monthey players scored in double figures.

Union Neuchatel Basket (LNA) signed 25-year old Dominican guard Bryan Colon (181-92). It is actually his comeback to Neuchatel as he has played here before. Colon played this summer at Indios de San Francisco in LNB league in Dominican Republic. But in only one game he did not score anything. The last season Colon played at Union Neuchatel Basket where in 29 LNA games he had 4.9ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.0apg. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. Lions de Geneve announced the new head coach. Vedran Bosnic , after eight season as head coach of Sodertalje Kings, moves to Switzerland. He signs with Ginevra Lions. The bosnian specalist, also head coach of NT Swedish team, is Swedish Basketligan Champion -13, 14, 15, 16 and he was named Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Basketligan Coach of the Year -11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16.
