The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

LNA round 4 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader SAV Vacallo (3-1) against sixth ranked Boncourt (3-1) 83-79 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SAV Vacallo. It was a key game for the top position in the league. SAV Vacallo was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded SAV Vacallo 32-20 including 20 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jackson Capel (191-G-87, college: Evangel) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!). The other American import swingman Shy Ely (194-87, college: Evansville, agency: Merit Sports) contributed with 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American power forward Matt Schneiderman (204-81, college: N.Iowa) replied with 21 points for SAV Vacallo. Boncourt keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated SAV Vacallo. SAV Vacallo will play next round against strong Lugano Tigers trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Boncourt will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked BBC Nyon on the road.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Geneve Lions as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (SAV Vacallo) loss. Geneve Lions defeated 5th ranked Monthey at home 85-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Monthey. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tony Brown (193-79, college: Arkansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Juwann James who added 14 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Geneve Lions' coach Ivan Rudez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 18 points. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 4 other teams. Monthey at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Monthey will play next round against Starwings trying to get back on the winning streak. Geneve Lions will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Fribourg on the road.

Third ranked Fribourg blasted bottom-ranked Starwings (0-4) in Basel 85-62. Starwings is still unable to win any game. Arizona Reid fired 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Fribourg's coach Damien Leyrolles felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fribourg (3-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Starwings at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Fribourg's next round opponent will be league's leader Geneve Lions at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Starwings will play against Monthey (#6) and hope to get finally their first victory.

It was a very good performance for Richie Gordon who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Neuchatel dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Lugano Tigers will face league's second-placed SAV Vacallo in Chiasso in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neuchatel will play at home against SAM Massagno (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

SAM Massagno - BBC Nyon 102-89

SAM Massagno's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat BBC Nyon (1-3) 102-89 on Sunday. BBC Nyon was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Tommy Freeman (195-88, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who scored that evening 31 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) supported him with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Freeman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) did not help to save the game for BBC Nyon. Swingman Marvin Owens (196-86, college: Northwood) added 25 points and 4 steals for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SAM Massagno left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Neuchatel and BBC Nyon. SAM Massagno will meet Neuchatel (#8) on the road in the next round. Vevey win LNB in fifth-game series against BBC Nyon. They won last game with the dominating entire game and final result was 82:55 for Paolo Povia players. They won also Regular Season as they finished 1st with only 3 loses and 18 wins. They will return to LNA after almost ten years of playing in LNB.
