American forward Justin Rutty (200-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for BBC Nyon, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Boncourt (#6, 3-2) 83-79. BBC Nyon is placed at 7th position in Swiss LNA. BBC Nyon is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Rutty turned to be BBC Nyon's top player in his first season with the team. Former Quinnipiac College star has very solid stats this year. Rutty. Rutty is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.4ppg) and averages impressive 55.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old Bosnia and Herzegovina Adnan Hodzic (203-F-88, agency: Pro One Sports) of Monthey. Hodzic had a very good evening with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he lead Monthey to another comfortable win 88-73 over Starwings (#10, 0-5) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Monthey to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hodzic is a newcomer at Monthey, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#6). He also registered 7.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Justin Dobbins (203-C/F-87, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of Starwings (#10). Dobbins scored 24 points. Despite Dobbins' great performance Starwings lost 73-88 to the higher-ranked Monthey (#5, 3-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Starwings can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 5 games. Too bad for Dobbins he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Dobbins has individually a great season in Switzerland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 8.0rpg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jules Aw (200-F-86) of Neuchatel - 26 points and 5 rebounds
5. Brandon Jenkins (190-G-85) of Starwings - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Mihalis Kakiouzis (206-C-76) of SAV Vacallo - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Ivan Kuburovic (203-F-81) of SAV Vacallo - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Matt Schneiderman (204-F/C-81) of SAV Vacallo - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Pete Campbell (201-F-84) of SAM Massagno - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of SAM Massagno - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
