Takia Starks
25-year old guard Takia Starks (173-G-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for Muraltese and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 49 points and 10 rebounds, while her team was edged out by Fribourg (#4, 7-3) 78-75. Muraltese maintains the 8th position in Swiss LNA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Starks had a remarkable 69.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Muraltese's top player in her first season with the team. Texas A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Starks is in league's top in points (2nd best: 28.1ppg) and averages solid 4.7spg and 56.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Cameo Hicks (182-G/F-84) of league's second-best Riva Basket. She is American swingman in her first season at Riva Basket. In the last game Hicks recorded impressive 33 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she lead Riva Basket to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Highflyers (#9, 1-9) 82-39. Riva Basket's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Hicks is a newcomer at Riva Basket and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.9ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 4.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Megan Skouby (193-C-86) of Basel (#7). Skouby scored 25 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Skouby's great performance Basel lost 61-81 to slightly higher-ranked Hope-GBA (#5, 6-4). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Basel not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Skouby could try to bring Basel's a little bit higher in the standings. Skouby has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (6th best). She also has 2.9spg, 1.5bpg and FGP: 52.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marielle Giroud (180-F-87) of Helios - 16 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Sarah Kershaw (180-SF-85) of Helios - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists
6. Caroline Turin (173-F-87) of Helios - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Jalinka Michaux (173-F-87) of Hope-GBA - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Kaitlin Sowinski (196-C-86) of Fribourg - 26 points and 11 rebounds
9. Diodio Diouf (170-G-84) of Helios - 22 points and 4 assists
10. Kirby Copeland (182-G-85) of Fribourg - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
