36-year old forward Mihalis Kakiouzis (206-F-76, agency: Interperformances) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked SAV Vacallo and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 22 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for SAV Vacallo in his team's victory, helping them to crush Starwings (#10, 1-9) with 20-point margin 76-56. SAV Vacallo maintains the 2nd position in Swiss league. They are still close to the very top. SAV Vacallo would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Kakiouzis had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be SAV Vacallo's top player in his first season with the team. Mihalis Kakiouzis averages this season 13.9ppg and 7.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) of Geneve Lions. He is Croatian forward in his first season at Geneve Lions. In the last game Stimac recorded impressive 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course he lead Geneve Lions to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked SAM Massagno (#9, 1-9) 103-77. Geneve Lions' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Stimac is a newcomer at Geneve Lions and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of SAM Massagno (#9). Chapman scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Chapman's great performance SAM Massagno lost 77-103 to the higher-ranked Geneve Lions (#3, 8-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. SAM Massagno can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Chapman he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Chapman has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 8.5rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Hakeem Rollins (202-F/C-83) of SAV Vacallo - 17 points and 13 rebounds
5. Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon - 20 points and 17 rebounds
6. Jamelle Barrett (180-PG-88) of SAM Massagno - 15 points, 2 rebounds and 11 assists
7. Darrius Garrett (205-F/C-90) of Fribourg - 10 points and 9 rebounds
8. Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 27 points and 3 rebounds
9. Pape Badji (206-F/C-92) of Neuchatel - 18 points and 10 rebounds
10. Babacar Toure (205-F/C-85) of Geneve Lions - 14 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
