Here is the weekly review of the top performing Swiss players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Thabo Sefolosha (199-84, agency: ACMT, currently plays in NBA). He led Oklahoma City Thunder to a victory against the Sacramento Kings (7-15) 113-103 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Sefolosha scored 15 points in 28 minutes on the court. The Oklahoma City Thunder has quite an impressive 19-4 record this season. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Sefolosha has relatively good stats this year: 7.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 44.6% and FT: 89.5% in the 23 games he played so far. He played for the Swiss senior national team one years ago.

Clint N'Dumba-Capela
   #2. Second place goes to U18 international forward Clint N'Dumba-Capela (204-94, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in France. N'Dumba-Capela could not help Chalon/Saor in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance his team was crushed 86-62 on the road by the lower-ranked Unicaja Malaga (#6). N'Dumba-Capela recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 4 blocks. This season N'Dumba-Capela averages: 7.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 44.6% and FT: 89.5%. He played for the Swiss U18 national team in 2011.

David Ramseier
David Ramseier
   #3. The Swiss player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward David Ramseier (203-87, currently plays in France). He was not able to help Boulazac Basket (4-7) in their game against Gravelines-Dunkerque (7-4) in the French ProA. Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game Ramseier was the second best scorer with 12 points. Ramseier's overall stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 55.9%(19-34) and FT: 41.7%. He has a dual citizenship: Swiss and French. Ex-Chorale de Roanne Basket (ProA) U20 team -Geneva Devils player is also a member of the Swiss senior national team.

   #4. Guard Christophe Varidel (188-89, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a 3-point Florida Gulf Coast's victory against the Florida International University (1-1) 76-73 in the NCAA last Thursday. Varidel scored 18 points in 20 minutes. The Florida Gulf Coast University has conference record this season. This year Varidel's overall stats are: 7.2ppg and 3.2rpg in the six games. He used to play for the Swiss national team back in 2010.

   #1. Michael Kessens (206-F-91, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Longwood to a victory against the Southern Virginia University 86-74 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Kessens had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 4 assists and 3 blocks in 37 minutes. The Longwood College has conference record this season. This year Kessens' overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.6apg in the 23 games he played so far.

Geneve Lions - Lugano Tigers 80-74 Geneve Lions outgunned Lugano Tigers to take 2-0 lead in the title series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Lugano Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Geneve Lions - Lugano Tigers 93-65 Geneve Lions had little problem en route to the opening win in the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Geneve Lions. Lugano Tigers managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Geneve Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Lugano Tigers' 40. Fribourg - Lugano Tigers 61-72 Lugano Tigers surprised Fribourg away from home to squeeze into the LNA Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. Fribourg managed to win third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
