Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85, agency: Warren Sports International) had an amazing evening in the last round for Starwings, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Neuchatel (#7, 4-8) 80-65. Starwings is placed at 8th position in Swiss LNA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Burrows had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Starwings and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Indiana Univ-Purdue Univ.-Ft.Wayne star has very solid stats this year. Burrows is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.4rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 51.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Juwann James (198-F/C-87, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of Geneve Lions. James had a very good evening with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Geneve Lions cruised to a 89-80 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Boncourt (#6, 5-7). Despite this victory Geneve Lions slide down in the standings to 3rd position. His team's 9-3 record is not bad at all. James is a newcomer at Geneve Lions, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon (#9). Rutty scored 17 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Rutty's great performance BBC Nyon lost 61-69 to the higher-ranked Monthey (#4, 8-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. BBC Nyon can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Rutty he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Rutty has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.1ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 13.2rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Hakeem Rollins (202-F/C-83) of SAV Vacallo - 18 points and 10 rebounds
5. Arizona Reid (196-F-86) of Fribourg - 22 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of SAM Massagno - 24 points and 12 rebounds
7. Babacar Toure (205-F/C-85) of Geneve Lions - 10 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Brandon Jenkins (190-G-85) of Starwings - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Shy Ely (194-G/F-87) of Boncourt - 21 points and 6 assists
10. Jamelle Barrett (180-PG-88) of SAM Massagno - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
