Bahamas Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85, agency: Warren Sports International) put on an amazing game in the last round for Starwings and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 21 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team crushed BBC Nyon (#9, 2-10) with 25-point margin 107-82. Starwings is placed at 8th position in Swiss LNA. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Starwings have already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Burrows had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Starwings and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Indiana Univ-Purdue Univ.-Ft.Wayne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Burrows is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.1rpg), assists (9th best: 3.7apg) and averages solid 1.9bpg and 55.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Starwings' star - 25-year old American Justin Dobbins (203-C/F-87, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management). Dobbins impressed basketball fans with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Of course together with Burrows he helped Starwings with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked BBC Nyon (#9, 2-10) 107-82. This victory allowed Starwings to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 8th position in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Starwings managed to get this year. Dobbins is a newcomer at Starwings and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#7). He also registered 7.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Starwings' star - American Brandon Jenkins (190-G-85). Jenkins scored 14 points and passed twelve assists (!!!). He was another key player of Starwings, helping his team with a 107-82 easy win against slightly lower-ranked BBC Nyon (#9, 2-10). Starwings can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Jenkins he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Jenkins has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (4th best). He also has 2.3spg and FGP: 58.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 32 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Rickey Gibson (191-G-84) of SAV Vacallo - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Korvotney Barber (201-F-87) of Lugano Tigers - 21 points and 14 rebounds
7. Adnan Hodzic (203-F-88) of Monthey - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Hakeem Rollins (202-F/C-83) of SAV Vacallo - 14 points and 12 rebounds
9. Jules Aw (200-F-86) of Neuchatel - 16 points and 11 rebounds
10. Jamelle Barrett (180-PG-88) of SAM Massagno - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
