Justin Rutty
23-year old forward Justin Rutty (200-F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BBC Nyon and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat SAM Massagno (#10, 2-11) 81-70. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. BBC Nyon maintains the 9th position in Swiss league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 10 games and recorded just three victories. Rutty turned to be BBC Nyon's top player in his first season with the team. Quinnipiac College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rutty. Rutty is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.6ppg) and averages solid 51.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Korvotney Barber (201-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports) of Lugano Tigers. He is American forward in his first season at Lugano Tigers. In the last game Barber recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Lugano Tigers was edged in overtime by slightly lower-ranked Neuchatel (#7, 5-8) 103-101. Lugano Tigers managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Barber is a newcomer at Lugano Tigers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Juwann James (198-F/C-87, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of Geneve Lions (#3). James scored 16 points. Despite James' great performance Geneve Lions lost 73-85 to #4 ranked Monthey. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Geneve Lions needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 4 lost games. James has a very solid season. In 12 games in Switzerland he scored 13.1ppg. He also has 5.0rpg and FGP: 75.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Quinton Day (185-G-84) of Neuchatel - 27 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Jules Aw (200-F-86) of Neuchatel - 22 points and 3 rebounds
6. Ronald Yates (201-F-83) of Fribourg - 15 points and 10 rebounds
7. Arizona Reid (196-F-86) of Fribourg - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Darrius Garrett (205-F/C-90) of Fribourg - 13 points and 6 rebounds
9. Pape Badji (206-F/C-92) of Neuchatel - 11 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jonathan Dubas (202-SF-91) of Monthey - 20 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
