BC Siauliai (LKL) is close to land 27-year old naturalized Swiss guard Rolandas Alijevas (192-88kg-85, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who currently plays Krasnie Krilya Samara in Russia. But in two PBL games this season he averaged just 1.0ppg and 1.0rpg. Alijevas also played 3 games in EuroChallenge but he did not score anything and had only 3 rebounds and 4 assists. He also played 4 games in VTB United League but he had only 0.8ppg and 1.0apg. The last season Alijevas played at Budivelnyk in Ukrainian Superleague. In 26 games last year he had 9.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.3apg. He also played 11 games in VTB United League where he had 8.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.9apg.
Alijevas ended the previous (10-11) season at Rudupis. In 7 LKL games that season he had 8.3ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1spg. But the most of that year he spent at Nevezis Kedainiai (previous name Kedainiai). In 23 LKL games he had 14.9ppg, 5.5rpg, 5.9apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Guard of the Year, selected to 1st Team and selected to All-Domestic Players Team. Alijevas also played 20 games in Baltic League where he was fourth best scorer with 12.4ppg and recorded 5.1rpg, 4.8apg (top 5) and 1.6spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
