#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard Thabo Sefolosha (201-84, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Atlanta Hawks (37-35) in their last game on Monday. Despite Sefolosha's good performance the Atlanta Hawks (37-35) were defeated 105-90 on the road by the Charlotte Hornets.
He recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Sefolosha has relatively good stats this season: 7.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.8apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 48.7%, 3FGP: 35.0% and FT: 73.3%.
He played for the Swiss national team in 2014.
#3. The Swiss player who performed third best last week abroad was former University international point guard Jonathan Shtarkman (188-91, currently plays in Israel). He led Hasharon to a victory against the closely-ranked Maccabi Rehovot (14-10) 94-89 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night's game.

Serbian Guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-G-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for Swiss Central, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22. The 31-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, seven rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Boncourt (#9, 7-13) 82-72. Swiss Central maintains the 7th position in Swiss LNA. Swiss Central is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-11 record. In the team's last game Kovacevic had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Swiss Central's top player in his first season with the team. Nemanja Kovacevic has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.4apg) and averages impressive 53.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Serbian Nemanja Calasan (204-C-85, agency: HMS) of Boncourt. Calasan had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Boncourt lost that game 72-82 to slightly higher-ranked Swiss Central (#7, 9-11). This loss caused Boncourt to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Calasan is a newcomer at Boncourt, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-C-91) of Massagno (#10). Bergstedt scored 22 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Bergstedt's great performance Massagno lost 72-74 to the higher-ranked Neuchatel (#4, 13-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Massagno not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bergstedt could try to bring Massagno's a little bit higher in the standings. Bergstedt has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.5rpg (5th best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Natan Jurkovitz (199-F-95) of Fribourg - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists 5. Colin Voss (201-PF) of Swiss Central - 24 points and 10 rebounds 6. Pankracije Barac (196-G-81) of Monthey - 29 points and 3 rebounds 7. Chris Jones (188-G-93) of Starwings - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists 8. Zoran Krstanovic (204-F/C-82) of Neuchatel - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists 9. Karl Cochran (185-G-92) of Lausanne - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists 10. Kelvin Parker (184-PG-82) of Geneve Lions - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
