The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Fribourg (12-2) on the court of third ranked Geneve Lions on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Geneve Lions 102-72. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Fribourg. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Geneve Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Geneve Lions forced 20 Fribourg turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. Geneve Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Fribourg's players. Croatian power forward Andrej Stimac (204-79) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American-Jamaican forward Ronald Yates (201-83, college: St.Peter's) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
