Swiss Cup semifinalists are set after the quarterfinal clashes at the weekend.
Vacallo paved their way through into the next round following a 72:67 victory over Monthey. Larry O'Bannon (194-G-83, agency: Interperformances, college: Louisville) came up with 22 points to pace the winners. Mihalis Kakiouzis (206-F-76, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points for Vacallo. Adnan Hodzic (203-F-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Lipscomb) answered with 18 points for Monthey.
Union Neuchatel surprised Boncourt 93:72 to advance into the semifinal stage. Boncourt led by a single point at halftime 44:43 but wasted their lead and suffered a heavy loss at the end. Thomas Coleman (205-F/C-88, college: N.Carolina A&T) delivered 20 points, while Ray Reese (196-G-87, college: Tulsa) added 17 points for Union Neuchatel. Jackson Capel (191-G-87, college: Evangel) responded with 16 points for Boncourt.
Benetton Fribourg edged Lions de Geneve 78:67 behind 29 points from Arizona Reid (196-F-86, college: High Point). Ronald Yates (201-F-83, college: St.Peter's) added 19 points for the winning side. Tony Brown (193-G-79, college: Arkansas St.) answered with 21 points for Lions de Geneve.
SAM Massagno completed semifinal picture as they rallied past Ovronnaz-Martigny 89:57. Pete Campbell (201-F-84, agency: Warren Sports International, college: Butler) notched 16 points, while Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89, college: Texas) contributed 15 points for the winners. Raphael Moret (201-F/C-84) responded with 11 points in the loss.

This week's number one is former international power forward Clint Capela (208-94). He could not help the Houston Rockets (34-13) in their last game. Vevey adds Barapila to their roster - 3 days ago
Vevey Riviera Basket (LNB) added to their roster 30-year old power forward Arnaud Barapila (196-87) from BBC Nyon. The last season Barapila played at BBC Lausanne where in 16 LNB games he recorded 3.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the LNB title (twice). Disanayake comes back to Meyrin Basket - 3 days ago
Meyrin Basket Geneve (LNB) inked 22-year old Sri Lanka shooting guard Vidura Disanayake (181-95). It is actually his comeback to Geneve as he has played here before. Disanayake started the season at BC Winterthur (LNA). In four games he recorded 3.3ppg and 1.0apg this season. LNB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
