We bring you last week's top performances from Swiss players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Thabo Sefolosha
Thabo Sefolosha
#1. This week's number one is former international guard Thabo Sefolosha (199-84, agency: ACMT, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to an easy victory against the Denver Nuggets (24-18) crushing them 117-97 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Sefolosha scored 9 points in 22 minutes on the court. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a very good 32-8 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Sefolosha has relatively good stats this year: 7.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.7apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 53.3%, 3FGP: 41.9% and FT: 89.3% in the 39 games he played so far. He played for the Swiss senior national team two years ago.

Clint N'Dumba-Capela
Clint N'Dumba-Capela
#2. Second place goes to former U18 international forward Clint N'Dumba-Capela (204-94, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProA. He could not help one of league's weakest teams Chalon/Saor (10-6) to beat Gravelines-Dunkerque (11-5). N'Dumba-Capela scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 21 minutes. But Chalon/Saor was crushed 102-69 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Gravelines-Dunkerque. This year N'Dumba-Capela averages: 2.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 40.9% and FT: 35.7% in the eight games. He played for the Swiss U18 national team in 2011.

Greg Brunner
Greg Brunner
#3. The Swiss player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa, currently plays in Italy). Brunner led Trenkwalder RE to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Juvecaserta (7-8) 91-72 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. He scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Trenkwalder Reggio Emilia (8-7) is placed sixth in the SerieA. Brunner belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #4. He has very reliable stats this season: 11.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.7apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 53.7%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 66.7%. Brunner is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA university national team, Brunner is currently a member of the Swiss senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Switzerland.

Christophe Varidel
Christophe Varidel
#4. Guard Christophe Varidel (188-89, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the Florida Gulf Coast (5-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the Florida Gulf Coast was defeated 85-75 in Johnson City, TN by the East Tennessee State University. Varidel scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season Varidel has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.7apg and 1.6spg. He used to play for the Swiss national team back in 2010.

Ramseier scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. The bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket was badly defeated 82-65 in Limoges by the higher-ranked (#11) CSP Elite.    #1. Rolandas Alijevas (192-G-85, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Baltic League), who plays in Lithuania could not help Siauliai (0-2) in their last game on Sunday. Alijevas also added 5 passes. There are only four games left until the end of the Baltic League Top 16. So now every game will be critical. It's Alijevas' first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 3.5apg. Alijevas has a dual citizenship: Swiss and Lithuanian.
