Arizona Reid
American Arizona Reid (196-F-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Fribourg and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Fribourg in his team's victory, helping them to crush BBC Nyon (#8, 3-12) with 25-point margin 99-74. It allowed Fribourg to consolidate first place in the Swiss LNA. Fribourg have a solid 13-2 record. In the team's last game Reid had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fribourg's top player in his first season with the team. High Point University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Reid is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.5rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward Korvotney Barber (201-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports) of Lugano Tigers. Barber impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Lugano Tigers cruised to a 89-78 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Boncourt (#7, 6-8). Lugano Tigers' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Barber is a newcomer at Lugano Tigers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon (#8). Rutty scored 24 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Rutty's great performance BBC Nyon lost 74-99 to the higher-ranked Fribourg (#1, 13-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. BBC Nyon can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Rutty he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Rutty has individually a great season in Switzerland. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 13.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Branko Milisavljevic (193-G-76) of Lugano Tigers - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) of Geneve Lions - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jamelle Barrett (180-PG-88) of SAM Massagno - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Babacar Toure (205-F/C-85) of Geneve Lions - 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Thomas Coleman (205-F/C-88) of Neuchatel - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Jean-Richard Volcy (203-F-82) of BBC Nyon - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Roberto Kovac (188-SG-90) of Fribourg - 29 points

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Bryan Colon
Colon is back at Neuchatel - 5 days ago
Union Neuchatel Basket (LNA) signed 25-year old Dominican guard Bryan Colon (181-92). It is actually his comeback to Neuchatel as he has played here before. Colon played this summer at Indios de San Francisco in LNB league in Dominican Republic. But in only one game he did not score anything. The last season Colon played at Union Neuchatel Basket where in 29 LNA games he had 4.9ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.0apg. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final.
