  follow us on Facebook Twitter

27-year old center Celeste Trahan-Davis (184-C-85, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Fribourg and receives a Player of the Week award for round 17.
She had a double-double of 43 points and 19 rebounds, while her team outclassed Pully (#7, 7-10) with 46-point margin 100-54. Fribourg is placed at 3rd position in Swiss LNA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Fribourg will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. Trahan-Davis turned to be Fribourg's top player in her first season with the team. Celeste Trahan-Davis averages this season 31.3ppg and 19.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Sarah Kershaw (180-SF-85) of top-ranked Helios. She is naturalized British in her 3rd season at Helios. In the last game Kershaw recorded impressive 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she lead Helios to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Basel (#8, 4-13) 91-48. Of course Helios still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Helios managed to win all 17 games keeping perfect record. Kershaw is one of the most experienced players at Helios and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Kaitlin Sowinski (196-C-86, agency: Two Points) of Muraltese (#6). Sowinski got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds . She was a key player of Muraltese, leading her team to a 74-50 easy win against the lower-ranked Highflyers (#10, 1-16). The chances of Muraltese ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Sowinski could help Muraltese to bring them higher in the standings. Sowinski has a great season in Switzerland. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 14.3rpg (6th best).

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
