Before the 18th round in LNA, the updates are the following:
Top scorer and rebounder of Metanord Bellinzona, Julie Seabrook (190-F-90, college: Colorado) is out with a knee contusion until mid-March (to be confirmed). She is averaging 17.9 points and 12.9 rebounds per game for her team since the beginning of the season.
Current best swiss rebounder and MVP of the 1st round, Marielle Giroud (180-F-87, college: Franklin Pierce) of Helios VS Basket is resting a sprained ankle, she will probably be able to come back for the first day of the intermediary phasis and the League Cup Game against Riva Basket on February 24th. Swiss Center Nadege Clement sprained her ankle in the last round against Fizzy Muraltese.
Vanessa Dorestant decided to stop the competition. She was averaging 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists for Luzern Highflyers this season.
Croatian player Romana Stojanovic who has been injury list for Luzern Highflyers since November, is transfering to lower league team BC Kusnacht-Erlenbach.

LNA is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 9 rounds left. The game between third ranked Winterthur (5-3) and eighth ranked BBC Troist. (2-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Winterthur was defeated by BBC Troist. in a tough game in Winterthur 68-76. Giroud's double-double lands her Player of the Week award - 6 days ago

29-year old power forward Marielle Giroud (182-F/C-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Helios and receives a Player of the Week award for round 8. She had a double-double of 14 points and 26 rebounds, while her team outclassed Geneve Basket (#5, 3-4) with 44-point margin 85-41. Helios maintains the 2nd position in Swiss LNA. The game in Geneve supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked Helios (6-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Geneve Basket (3-4). Helios smashed Geneve Basket 85-41 on Sunday. The game without a history. Helios led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Geneve Basket to just 6 points in second quarter.
