Naturalized Serbian shooting guard Dusan Mladjan (198-SG-86, agency: Interperformances) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lugano Tigers and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 26-year old shooting guard had the game-high 33 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Lugano Tigers in his team's victory, helping them to crush Starwings (#8, 5-13) with 24-point margin 103-79. Lugano Tigers is placed at 4th position in Serbian LNA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Lugano Tigers will need more victories to improve their 10-8 record. In the team's last game Mladjan had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Lugano Tigers, through which he has constantly improved. Mladjan has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.9ppg) and averages solid 66.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American guard Brandon Jenkins (190-G-85) of Starwings. Jenkins impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Starwings lost that game 79-103 to the higher-ranked Lugano Tigers (#4, 10-8). Starwings is still second from the bottom in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Starwings managed to get this year. Jenkins is well-known by Starwings fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Rickey Gibson (191-G-84) of SAV Vacallo (#3). Gibson scored 23 points and passed twelve assists (!!!). He was a key player of SAV Vacallo, leading his team to a 94-84 win against the lower-ranked BBC Nyon (#10, 3-15). SAV Vacallo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 5 lost games. Gibson has a great season in Switzerland. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.3apg (2nd best). He also has 2.9spg and FGP: 52.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Hakeem Rollins (202-F/C-83) of SAV Vacallo - 14 points and 13 rebounds
5. Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 27 points and 10 rebounds
6. Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of SAM Massagno - 22 points and 11 rebounds
7. Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) of Geneve Lions - 24 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Richie Gordon (203-F-89) of Lugano Tigers - 23 points and 12 rebounds
9. Justin Dobbins (203-C/F-87) of Starwings - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Juwann James (198-F/C-87) of Geneve Lions - 21 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
