Ronald Yates
American-Jamaican Ronald Yates (201-F-83) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Fribourg and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 29-year old forward had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Fribourg in his team's victory, helping them to crush SAM Massagno (#9, 4-17) with 19-point margin 101-82. It allowed Fribourg to consolidate first place in the Swiss LNA. Fribourg have a solid 18-3 record. It's Yates' second year at Fribourg and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Ronald Yates averages this season 12.9ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward Korvotney Barber (201-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports) of Lugano Tigers. Barber impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Lugano Tigers was edged in overtime by slightly higher-ranked Geneve Lions (#2, 16-4) 93-89. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Lugano Tigers still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 12-9 record is not bad at all. Barber is a newcomer at Lugano Tigers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Jackson Capel (191-G-87) of Boncourt (#6). Capel scored 22 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Boncourt, leading his team to a 92-73 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Starwings (#7, 6-15). The chances of Boncourt not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Capel could try to bring Boncourt's a little bit higher in the standings. Capel has a very solid season. In 19 games in Switzerland he scored 12.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) of Geneve Lions - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Arizona Reid (196-F-86) of Fribourg - 25 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Edwin Draughan (196-G/F-82) of Fribourg - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85) of Starwings - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Jules Aw (200-F-86) of Neuchatel - 19 points and 7 rebounds
9. Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Richie Gordon (203-F-89) of Lugano Tigers - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
