Kelvin
Parker
Lions de Geneve (LNA) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American point guard Kelvin Parker (184-85kg-82, college: Northwest Missouri State). It is actually his comeback to Geneve as he has played here before. Parker He started the season at Rilski in Bulgarian NBL league. He managed to play in three leagues this year. In 16 NBL games he had 12.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.8apg and 1.9spg. Parker helped them to make it to the Supercup final. He also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 2.2rpg, 5.5apg and 2.0spg. And finally Parker contributed to 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 7.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.0apg and 2.0spg. The last season Parker played at VOO Verviers Pepinster (Scooore League) in Belgium. In 12 games he got 14.5ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg.
Parker is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Parker tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Austria (Redwell Gunners Oberwart), Germany (Bayern Muenchen and Dragons Rhoendorf), Italy (Lighthouse Conad Trapani), Qatar (El Jaysh), Slovakia (Inter Bratislava), Norway (Asker Aliens), Switzerland (Monthey and of courseGeneve Lions) and PBL (Vermont FH).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Geneve Lions.
Parker attended Northwest Missouri State until 2004 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Parker: Physical & Mental: Very quick with good reflexes.
Ball Skills: Strong with the ball... Penetrates aggressively... Runs the floor well.
Offense: Good offensive player... Good shooter from range... Moves well without the ball... Sees the floor well.
Defense: Very good anticipation... Quick hands and feet... Reads the defensive floor well.
Game Knowledge: Will earn a coach's trust with his court vision on both ends of the floor.
Strengths: Effective when he blends in with a team set, as well as when he is asked to create on his own.
Opportunities for Improvement: Needs to continue to work on finishing off penetration.
Overall Comments: Needs to develop more of his game
