We bring you last week's top performances from Swiss players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Clint Capela
Clint Capela
#1. This week's number one is former international power forward Clint Capela (208-94, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Houston Rockets' victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves (31-51) 123-118 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Capela had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks in 30 minutes on the court. The Houston Rockets have a solid 55-27 record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Capela has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.6ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 64.4%(362-562) and FT: 53.1% in 65 games he played so far. Capela played for the Swiss senior national team three years ago.

Thabo Sefolosha
Thabo Sefolosha
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard Thabo Sefolosha (201-84, currently plays in NBA). Sefolosha managed to help Atlanta Hawks in a victory against the Charlotte Hornets (37-45) crushing them 103-76 in the NBA on Tuesday night. He recorded only 4 points in 16 minutes. The Atlanta Hawks have 43-39 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Sefolosha has relatively good stats this year: 7.2ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.7apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 48.5%, 3FGP: 34.2% and FT: 73.3% in 62 games. He played for the Swiss national team in 2014.

Nicolas Dos Santos
Nicolas Dos Santos
#3. The Swiss player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Nicolas Dos Santos (200-87, currently plays in Portugal). Dos Santos contributed to an easy victory against the leader FC Porto Ferpinta (23-6) 87-70 in the Portuguese LPB last Friday. He recorded 6 points in only 12 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Sport Lisboa Benfica (22-7) is placed second. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be important. This year Dos Santos' overall stats are: 2.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 2FGP: 57.9%(33-57), 3FGP: 6.7% in 25 games. He is also a member of the Swiss senior national team.

Jonathan Shtarkman
Jonathan Shtarkman
#4. Point guard Jonathan Shtarkman (188-91, currently plays in Israel) led Hasharon to a victory against the second-ranked Hap.Haifa (10-16) 74-68 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Wednesday night. Shtarkman recorded 11 points. Ramat Hasharon (5-21) is placed fifth in Play-Downs group. Shtarkman's total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Swiss and Israeli. Despite Shtarkman played previously for the Israeli U20 national team, he is currently in the Swiss university national team roster.

The list of other players, who all have Swiss passport but never been selected to any of Swiss national teams:

#1. Alex Vaenerberg (183-G-92, currently plays in Finland). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Helsinki Seagulls (25-11) to beat Joensuun Kataja (25-11). Vaenerberg recorded 9 points and added 5 assists. But Helsinki Seagulls was defeated 89-84 on the road by the second-ranked Joensuun_Kataja. It was Helsinki Seagulls' third consecutive loss in a row. Vaenerberg's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.0apg. He has a dual citizenship: Swiss and Finnish.

#2. Marco Portannese (192-G-89, currently plays in Italy) contributed to Verona's victory against the 13th-ranked Bondi Ferrara (11-18) 72-58 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Saturday night's game. Portannese scored 7 points. Tezenis Verona (16-13) is placed seventh in East group. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Portannese has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.8apg and 1.4spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Italian and Swiss. Despite Portannese's Swiss nationality, he previously played for the Italian U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Swiss team.
