It will be a busy summer for Turkish International Hidayet Turkoglu (206-F-79) as he is set to consider numerous offers from NBA Teams. Turkoglu who played for Orlando Magic, became unrestricted free agent after rejecting new 4-year deal worth around 36 million dollars. Also after recently completing trade for Vince Carter, it seems there is even less possibility of Turkoglu's coming back to Orlando next season. Turkoglu is coming off an excellent season, in which he became one of Orlando's most important players along with Rashard Lewis and Dwight Howard, so he is expecting to sign better contract than what was offered by his current employer. Turkoglu was the integral team which made it to this year's NBA Playoff Finals which they lost to LA Lakers, but Hidayet Turkoglu's good showing has certainly raised his price. Portland Trailblazers are trying to react quickly and have reportedly offered him 50 million dollars for 5-year deal. Another team has recently expressed their interest and that was Toronto Raptors, who will have to see how the situation with their own free agent Shawn Marion will get resolved before making the approach. So in the coming days more offers to Turkish International can be expected from several teams who have salary cap space so he will definitely be in a position to choose. Hidayet Turkoglu started his career with Efes Pilsen in Turkey. In 2000 he was drafted by Sacramento Kings as 15th pick in the draft. Turkoglu spent 4 seasons with Sacramento where he became valuable role player helping the team finish 1st in the Pacific Division in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 Tuurkoglu signed with San Antonio Spurs where he spent one season before signing with Orlando Magic. At Orlando, Turkoglu further developed his game and has become on of the teams better players. This season he appeared in 100 games for Orlando averaging 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
