NBA star Deron Williams (191-PG-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for Besiktas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2.
He got a double-double of 24 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Karsiyaka on the road (1-1) 100-93. Besiktas won both games so far without losing any, but t's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Besiktas' top player in his first season with the team. The NBAer has very impressive stats after two games. Williams is in league's top in points (8th best: 17.5ppg), assists (3rd best: 7.5apg) and averages solid 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Vladimir Stimac (209-C-87, agency: Interperformances) of Olin Edirne. He is Serbian center in his first season at Olin Edirne. In the last game Stimac recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Olin Edirne to edge Hacettepe Univ. (1-1) by 6 points 80-74. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Stimac is a newcomer at Olin Edirne and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#9). He also registered 11.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Joshua Shipp (196-G/F-86) of Galatasaray. Shipp scored 22 points. He was a key player of Galatasaray, leading his team to a 84-73 win against Banvit BK (0-2). Galatasaray has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Shipp also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Shipp as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77) of Karsiyaka - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Austin Nichols (198-G/F-82) of Tofas - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Darius Washington (188-G-85) of Turk Telekom - 16 points and 10 assists
7. James Mays (206-F-86) of Mersin - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Charles Davis (202-F-84) of Banvit BK - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Stanko Barac (217-C-86) of Anadolu Efes - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Gerrod Henderson (192-G-78) of Erdemir - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
