Zeytinli Belediyesi added to their roster 29-year old American guard Yolanda Martin (180-G-83, college: Brewton Parker). Martin played most recently at Mets de Guaynabo (Puerto Rico). While playing 20 games for Guaynabo M. last season she recorded 24.0ppg (2nd best in the league), 11.4rpg (2nd best in the league), 1.7apg, 2.5spg (5th best in the league) and 1.1bpg (5th best in the league). She played also pro basketball in Iceland and Puerto Rico. In Iceland Martin set the female world FIBA record with 65 points in one game. Martin graduated from Brewton-Parker College in 2006. Martin is excited to joinf the turkish team.

Turkey claimed the third straight win at the 2013 EuroBasket. They rallied past Slovak Republic to earn the top spot in Group A. Tugba Palazoglu (171-G-80) stepped up with 12 points to lead the winners. Slovak Republic finished at 1-2 record in the third position in the standings but still made it into the next round.

Turkey claimed the third straight win at the 2013 EuroBasket. They rallied past Slovak Republic to earn the top spot in Group A. Tugba Palazoglu (171-G-80) stepped up with 12 points to lead the winners. Slovak Republic finished at 1-2 record in the third position in the standings but still made it into the next round. The teams stayed toe to toe throughout the first frame. The scoreboard read 12:12 at the first break. Turkey surged ahead in the second term. They opened the quarter on a 9:0 run to clear off. Turkey ran away to a 32:20 halftime advantage. They maintained it well throughout the third period. Turkey accumulated a 51:38 advantage heading into the fourth frame. The margin quickly grew at 20-point mark midway through the fourth frame and Turkey cruised to the win. Nevriye Yilmaz (194-C-80) notched 11 points, while Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-C-88, college: VCU) and Bahar Caglar (186-F-88) had 10 points each in the win. Anna Jurcenkova (195-C-85) answered with 10 points for Slovak Republic. Lucia Kupcikova (184-F-84), Eva Kmetova (188-C-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) and Romana Vynuchalova (192-C/F-86, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Penn St.) had 7 points each in the loss.

Homend Antakya bolstered their frontcourt. They landed Lithuanian centre Gintare Petronyte (196-C-89). She is currently playing for Lithuania at 2013 EuroBasket. Last season the centre spent in Italy. She was the member of Goldbet Taranto roster. Gintare Petronyte tallied 12.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in A1.
