Leader Galatasaray delivered the eighteenth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 15th ranked Trabzonspor (5-17) 88-70. The game without a history. Galatasaray led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Trabzonspor's players. American swingman Preston Shumpert (198-79, college: Syracuse) fired 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. International forward Furkan Aldemir (207-91, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds. American center Elton Brown (206-83, college: Virginia) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galatasaray (18-3) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Trabzonspor at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Antalya. Galatasaray are looking forward to face Antalya (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Trabzonspor will play against Hacettepe Univ. in Ankara and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game in Karsiyaka was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Anadolu Efes (18-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Karsiyaka (12-10). Anadolu Efes defeated Karsiyaka 71-59. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Kerem Tunceri (190-79) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 assists. Esteban Batista contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Anadolu Efes' coach Ilias Zouros allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Birkan Batuk (198-90) replied with 20 points for Karsiyaka. Anadolu Efes moved-up to second place. Karsiyaka at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Anadolu Efes will play against Tofas (#8) in Bursa in the next round where they are favorite. Karsiyaka will play on the road against Mersin in Akdeniz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Eleventh-ranked Mersin (8-14) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (16-6) in Istanbul on Sunday. Fenerbahce Ulker managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 20 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side James Mays responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fenerbahce Ulker have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 16-6 record. Loser Mersin keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Hacettepe Univ.. Fenerbahce Ulker will meet Erdemir (#9) on the road in the next round. Mersin will play against Karsiyaka and hope to secure a win.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Bursa, where higher ranked Tofas (11-11) lost at home to twelfth ranked Hacettepe Univ. (8-14) 71-79. Ricardo Marsh notched 21 points to lead the effort. Tofas' coach Nihat Izic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hacettepe Univ. moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Mersin. Tofas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Hacettepe Univ.'s next round opponent will be Trabzonspor (#15) at home.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Istanbul. Local Besiktas (17-5) outscored 7th ranked Aliaga (11-11) 101-78 on Saturday night. Pops Mensah-Bonsu fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Besiktas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 17-5 record. Loser Aliaga keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Besiktas will face Olin Edirne (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aliaga will play against Turk Telekom (#10) in Ankara.

Rest of the games of round 22 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Olin Edirne defeated Bandirma Kir. in a road game 74-68. Antalya was beaten by Banvit BK at home 79-84. Erdemir lost to Turk Telekom on the opponent's court 76-80.

There was no surprise in Balikesir where 16th ranked Bandirma Kir. (3-19) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Olin Edirne (7-15) 74-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-68. Olin Edirne outrebounded Bandirma Kir. 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. American Wesley Wilkinson (207-84, college: Nebraska) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) chipped in 18 points. Guard Ibrahim Yildirim (190-90) produced 16 points and American power forward Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Olin Edirne maintains thirteenth position with 7-15 record. Newly promoted Bandirma Kir. stay dead last with 19 lost games. Olin Edirne will face higher ranked Besiktas (#4) in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-76. Turk Telekom outrebounded Erdemir 39-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. Erdemir was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures.
