There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of TBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fenerbahce Ulker defeated 6th ranked Besiktas in Istanbul 83-74. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 44-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian-Croatian Bojan Bogdanovic (203-89) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. International Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor) replied with 15 points and 5 assists for Besiktas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce Ulker have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Galatasaray. Defending champion Besiktas keeps the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Besiktas will play next round against Gaziantep trying to get back on the winning streak. Fenerbahce Ulker will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Karsiyaka on the road.
Undefeated Karsiyaka (3-1) recorded its first loss in Bursa. Visitors were edged by twelfth ranked Tofas (2-2) 95-94. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Karsiyaka. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 assists and Joshua Heytvelt who added 24 points during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Bobby Dixon (178-83, college: Troy, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Tofas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Karsiyaka at the other side keeps the third position with one game lost. They share it with Anadolu Efes and Banvit BK. Tofas will play against Turk Telekom (#13) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Karsiyaka will play at home against the league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker (#1) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Gaziantep's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Mersin (0-4) 79-74 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by Charles Rhodes who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 24 points and 9 rebounds by Omar Sneed did not help to save the game for Mersin. Gaziantep (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. It was Mersin's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Gaziantep will meet higher ranked Besiktas (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mersin will play against Banvit BK (#5) in Balikesir and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Balikesir supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked TED Kolejliler (2-2) played at the court of seventh ranked Banvit BK (3-1). Banvit BK smashed TED Kolejliler 112-76. Charles Davis fired 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Banvit BK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Karsiyaka. Newly promoted TED Kolejliler keeps the sixth position with two games lost. Banvit BK's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Mersin (#16) in Akdeniz which should be another easy win for them. TED Kolejliler's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Hacettepe Univ..

Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Aliaga beat Turk Telekom on the road 77-66. Hacettepe Univ. won against Erdemir on its own court 75-70. Anadolu Efes managed to outperform Antalya in Istanbul 74-65. Galatasaray rolled over Olin Edirne at home 81-62.
