It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in TB2L, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Round 6 in TB2L means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Akhisar where host Akhisar Bld (4-2) beat league's leader Selcuk Universitesi (5-1) 78-68 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Selcuk Universitesi. The game was mostly controlled by Akhisar Bld. Selcuk Universitesi managed to win fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Selcuk Universitesi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Guven Esmer (193-80) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Selcuk Universitesi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Akhisar Bld have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-2 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Selcuk Universitesi at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Darussafaka who have the same record. Selcuk Universitesi will play next round against strong Usak trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Akhisar Bld will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Gelisim in Izmir.
Bottom-ranked Baskent Genclik (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 72-65 loss to sixth ranked Maliye Milli (4-2) in Ankara. It was a good game for power forward Orbay Kaya (205-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Zach Graham contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Maliye Milli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Onur Aydin (203-79, agency: 1x1 Sports) replied with 6 points and 13 rebounds for Baskent Genclik. Maliye Milli moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Baskent Genclik at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Izmir BSB. Maliye Milli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Pi Koleji.
Bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 76-66 loss to eleventh ranked Vestel (4-2) in Izmir on Saturday evening. Antabia Waller scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Mehmet Sinan Ozgur with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vestel moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Izmir BSB still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Baskent Genclik. Vestel will meet at home Pertevniyal (#8) in the next round. Izmir BSB will play against Final Genclik (#13) in Bursa and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Azizcan Ozdemir notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort. Istanbulspor moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pi Koleji at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Istanbulspor's next round opponent will be higher ranked Balikesir (#10) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
