American Courtney Paris (191-C-87) had a great game in the last round for Botas and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and twenty nine rebounds, while her team beat Samsun (#7, 2-2) 67-62. Botas maintains the 5th position in Turkish TKBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Botas will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Paris turned to be Botas' top player in her first season with the team. The University of Oklahoma graduate has very impressive stats this year. Paris. Paris is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.8ppg) and averages solid 59.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American forward Erlana Larkins (185-F-86) of Mersin. Larkins impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Mersin lost that game 73-80 to slightly higher-ranked Tarsus Bld (#8, 2-2). Despite lost game Mersin moved up to 10th position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Mersin managed to get this year. Larkins is a newcomer at Mersin and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Serbian Ivana Matovic (197-C-83) of top-ranked Fenerbahce. Matovic scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was a key player of Fenerbahce, leading her team to a 84-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Istanbul Univ. (#6, 2-2). Fenerbahce started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Matovic turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Matovic has a very solid season. In 3 games in Turkey she scored 13.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sancho Lyttle (192-C-83) of Galatasaray - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Carolyn Swords (198-C-89) of Ceyhan Bld - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Marcedes Marie Walker (191-C-86) of TED Ankara - 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. LaToya Sanders (191-PF-86) of Kayseri - 15 points and 9 rebounds
8. Jessica Breland (190-F-88) of Besiktas - 15 points and 14 rebounds
9. Ann Wauters (194-C-80) of Galatasaray - 15 points and 11 rebounds
10. Lindsay Whalen (175-PG-82) of Galatasaray - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
