Slovenian shooting guard Sasha Vujacic (201-SG-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Anadolu Efes, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, five rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Aliaga (#9, 2-3) with 16-point margin 83-67. Anadolu Efes is placed at 2nd position in Turkish TBL. They are still close to the very top. Anadolu Efes would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Vujacic had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Anadolu Efes and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Sasha Vujacic averages this season 9.6ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 33-year old Nedim Yucel (203-F-79) of TED Kolejliler. Yucel had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he lead TED Kolejliler to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Hacettepe (#8, 2-3) 84-60. TED Kolejliler's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Yucel is a newcomer at TED Kolejliler, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another TED Kolejliler's star - Serbian center Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, agency: Beo Basket). Stanojevic showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was another key player of TED Kolejliler, helping his team with a 84-60 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Hacettepe (#8, 2-3). TED Kolejliler needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Stanojevic has a great season in Turkey. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sammy Mejia (198-G-83) of Banvit BK - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Alade Aminu (210-C-87) of Karsiyaka - 18 points and 5 rebounds
6. Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85) of Gaziantep - 19 points and 5 rebounds
7. Kerem Gonlum (208-PF-77) of Anadolu Efes - 17 points and 2 rebounds
8. David Hawkins (194-G-82) of Galatasaray - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Charles Davis (205-C-84) of Banvit BK - 15 points and 4 rebounds
10. Omar Sneed (198-F-76) of Mersin - 11 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Regular Season in TBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Eskisehir Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Eskisehir Basket smashed 11th ranked Gelisim in Edirne 87-59. Monroe number one in Turkish TBL for round 29 - 3 days ago
American Darryl Monroe (201-C/F-86, agency: BeoBasket) had a great game in the last round for Turk Telekom, receiving a Eurobasket.com TBL Player of the Week award for round 29. The 30-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Final Genclik (#17, 6-23) 111-99. Turk Telekom is placed at 8th position in Turkish TBL.
