There were just 7 rounds played in Regular Season of TB2L and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Darussafaka as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Darussafaka defeated 6th ranked Trabzonspor in Istanbul 81-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Trabzonspor. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 48-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Darussafaka forced 22 Trabzonspor turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Trabzonspor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Turgay Gedikli (192-91) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 assists. Serbian center Aleksandar Petrovic (204-87) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) answered with 19 points and 4 assists for Trabzonspor. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darussafaka (6-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Trabzonspor at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Trabzonspor will play next round against Baskent Genclik trying to get back on the winning streak. Darussafaka will try to continue on its current victory against eighteenth ranked Izmir BSB on the road.
An interesting game for Selcuk Universitesi (6-1) which hosted in Konya 3rd placed Usak (5-2). Second ranked Selcuk Universitesi managed to get a 10-point victory 77-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for American Bill Clark (195-88, college: Duquesne) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. Jeremy Granger helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Selcuk Universitesi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Selcuk Universitesi keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Darussafaka. Usak at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Vestel and Maliye Milli. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Istanbulspor (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Usak will play against Gelisim (#8) in Izmir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Baskent Genclik's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bandirma Kir. (2-5) 61-57 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for KZell Wesson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. Baskent Genclik's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Bandirma Kir. will play against Maliye Milli (#5) in Ankara and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the TBL just one year after relegation.
Bottom-ranked Izmir BSB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Final Genclik (3-4) 85-56. Marshall Moses fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Final Genclik's next round opponent will be Pertevniyal (#10) in Istanbul. Izmir BSB will play at home against the league's leader Darussafaka (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
